Within the framework of 30 years of Bilateral Agreements between the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles and Tunisia, Wallonie Bruxelles International invites you to a meeting surrounding two major figures in Tunisian literature: Fawzia Zouari and Youssef Seddik.
Fawzia Zouari, born in Kef, is a Tunisian writer and journalist. Doctor in French and comparative literature at the Sorbonne, she worked at the Institut du monde arabe before becoming a journalist at the weekly publication Jeune Afrique in 1996. Her works include: I die by this country (1999), The Return (2002), The Islamic veil (2002), Enough about Scheherazade (2003), This veil is tearing up France (2004), The second wife (2006) and My mother’s body (Prix des 5 continents 2016)
Doctor in philosophy, anthropologist and Hellenist, Youssef Seddik publishes many works and translations surrounding Islamic heritage. He lives in Tunisia, and is a committed witness to the movements that shake up the Arab world. His publications include: Sayings of the prophet Mohammed (2002), We have never read the Koran (2004).
